Vardar surprised Fenerbahce

Macedonian champion Vardar won a prestigious victory in the first match with Fenerbahce from the playoffs for joining the League of Europe teams. He scored 2-0 at his Philip II Macedonian stadium in Skopje and will have a serious advantage before the rematch in Turkey in a week.

The first goal in the match fell in the 20th minute and his author was Tigran Barsegian. The Armenian scored a pretty beautiful goal after receiving a long pass in the penalty area, Martin Martin Schröttel finely flinched, and the eyes closed with the goalie sending the ball into the net.

In the 89th minute, the hosts stayed in a reduced turn after Boban Grancharov scored a red card.

Instead of taking advantage of his numerical advantage, Fenerbahce gave a second goal to his rival. In the 92nd minute, Mehmet Topal, in a very innocent situation in a very silly way with his head, transferred Carlos Kameni and sent the ball into his own door for 2: 0.

Then the guests stayed with 10 people on the pitch after a red card saw the Brazilian Souza.

Vardar can feel quite comfortable before the rematch, while for Fenerbahce there is a tough battle in Istanbul where the Turkish Grand Prix will have to win two or more goals in order to hope to play in the Europa League.
