Serbia defeated Turkey with 80:74 in its third D Group match and froze the host of fans at the Fenerbahce Arena in Istanbul. At the end of the meeting, even local supporters bowed to Bogdan Bogdanovich's skill as guests and chanted his name despite the loss.
The "floats" led with 14 points at a time of the match, while the biggest lead of the Turkish national was only 3. Both teams showed good things, and despite the eleven trikes for the local favorites, the victory was for the rival.
Bogdanovic was Serbia's top scorer with 17 points. Sacramento Kings's new guard took 10 consecutive points in just one and a half minutes - this series started at 60:61 and ended at 70:65, and then the Turks never managed to recover. Stefan Jović also scored 15 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 balls. Dragan Milosavljevic and Milan Machinan scored 8.
Melich Mahmutoglu scored 19 for Turkey at 5/9 of the three, while Jeddah Osman scored 15, as well as 5 assists and 2 spectacular umbrellas. Semih Erden stayed 13, and Forkan Korkmaz with 11.
For the Turks it was a second loss in three games, while the Serbs have two wins and defeats.
